Prof Du is a medically trained epidemiologist and biostatistician, currently working as a Professor at the School of Public Health, Southeast University (SEU), and previously working as a Fellow with the Australian National University (ANU). His research interests include vulnerable populations, service use and outcome, mental wellbeing, and science-policy-practice interface.

1. 澳大利亚道路规则的修改, 规定7岁以下儿童乘客使用儿童座椅（2010年实施）;
2. 在以往研究的成功经验为基础,为上海出台的中国首个儿童乘客安全出行指导方针《上海市未成年人保护》（2014年实施）和《上海市道路交通管理条例》（2017年实施）做出了贡献, 该条例规定为4岁以下的儿童乘客使用儿童安全座椅；
3. 澳大利亚公共卫生法的修改, 将完整的儿童免疫记录成为在经批准的幼儿服务机构登记的强制性要求（2015年实施）;
4. 中国2016年出台了《2016-2020 预防残疾国家行动计划》, 以改善残疾人群的健康福祉；
5. 南京市推出关于扩大完善南京市城镇职工基本医疗保险按病种付费结算范围的通知（宁医发〔2021〕40号）（2021年5月）；
