Case Studies of Public Health
I. Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements):
The course is mainly for the master of public health (mph) and public health practitioners. The aim of this course is to put public health into practice in compilation of cases based on real life events and problems. These cases vividly illustrate how professionals across various disciplines tackle public health challenges,covering a wide range of topics and issues. This course helps students applies a wide range of knowledge and skills relevant to public health outbreak investigation, policy analysis, regulatory decision-making and more. The five components of the public health curriculum framework are involved : the public health approach; tools of population health; disease: determinants, impacts, and interventions; healthcare and public health systems; and special areas of public health focus.

IV. Brief Introduction of Chief Lecturer
Juan Zhang, female, MD, PhD, born in 1974, is an associateprofessor and master advisor in School of Public Health, Southeast University. She had been a visit scholar and research fellow in Harvard University. Zhang has been engaging in research and teaching on environmental and occupational health. She has taken charge of 4 and participated in 5 scientific research projects from both national and provincial sources, and published more than 20 academic papers.
