Research Interest

Dr. Ting Zhang’s main research interest is nanotoxicoloy and nanobiology, focusing on nanomaterial properties that may lead to toxicity, with particular emphasis on the nanotoxicity mechanism and the role of oxidative stress and inflammation in nanoparticle-induced toxicity. Zhang and her colleagues study the safety of engineered nanomaterials, including the establishment of the link between biological outcomes and material properties that could lead to bio-compatible or bio-hazardous interactions in mammalian cells and animals.

Recent Research Project

The role of endoplasmic reticulm stress and mitochondrial dysfunction in quantum dots -induced hepatotoxicity and related molecular mechanism (NSFC)
