Associate Prof. Xiao Zhang，has long been engaged in research, teaching, policy analysis and industrial development related to individual and group health.

health technology assessment;

Xiao Zhang, associate professor, master supervisor, academic leader of health insurance specialty in Jiangsu province. He obtained bachelor of clinical medicine, master of social medicine and health management, doctor of management science and engineering. He has been engaged in clinical medicine, disease control, health administration, import and export quarantine, health insurance teaching and research. Currently he is the director of the department of medical insurance of school of public health of southeast university, director of the research center of medical insurance and social security of southeast university, vice President of the medical insurance research institute of Jiangsu province and executive director of the special committee of medical insurance of China society of social security. He is also Deputy director, healthy Jiangsu construction and development research institute: Jiangsu construction theory research center, Nanjing medical university.

He was editor for published teaching materials and monographs including：“medical health insurance foundation”, “the international comparison of medical treatment insurance”, “an introduction to the social medical insurance”, “commercial health insurance”, “negotiation theory and practice of medical treatment insurance”, “case study” and so on, translated books including: the international comparison of the“social medical insurance system ” and “the system of health care financing: Europe's choice”, etc. The first prize of 2010 Jiangsu provincial science and technology award (result registration no.: 20100470) for the study of standardized comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer (second place); the course system optimization and textbook construction of medical insurance specialty orientation based on the concept of OBE won the second prize (second prize) of teaching achievements of Jiangsu provincial department of education (higher education category) in 2017. Second prize (first prize) in the establishment and reform of medical insurance higher education of Southeast University; Second prize of excellent course of medical insurance.

He has undertaken more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, 2 national natural science funds and 1 national major social science foundation (sub-project leader). He published more than 100 professional papers.
