Hong Yang

Associate Prof. Yang has been engaged in the research and teaching of occupational  and occupation hazards for more than 20 years. She mainly focuses on the identification, evaluation and control of occupational hazards. She also pursues the interested research in studies for pulmonary toxicity and mechanism of nano silica. She has taken charge of 1 national nature science fundprojects and more than 5 other projects. She has published more than 10 SCI or EI papers and nearly 60 other Chinese papers. She has supervised more than 10 Master of public health (MPH) to finish master thesis.

1. National Natural Science Foundation of China, grant number: 81273046, “Study on molecular mechanism of pulmonary toxicity induced by silica nanoparticles(SNPs) based on microRNA microarray analysis.”

Associate Prof. Yang was born in 1967. She got her B.A. in Preventive Medicine, Nanjing Railway Medical College in 1989, M.A. in epidemiology, Nanjing Railway Medical College in 1996, and PhD in School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Southeast University in 2011. From1989 to 2003 she worked in Xinjiang Hejing railway hospital, as a public health doctor. From1996 to 2000 she worked in Department of Public Health, Nanjing Railway Medical College, as a teacher (assistant and lecturer). From 2000 to the present, she is Associate professor of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, School of public health, Southeast University.
