Research Interest | ||||
The scope of our research area is mainly the analysis of risk factors for population health, and the toxicological mechanism of environmental pollutants on cell damage of living organisms, concentration-response relationship analysis of environmental pathogenic factors on health damage effects, the role of healthy lifestyles in promoting the health of all people, and the principles of cellular nutrition in promoting body repair and maintaining bodies healthy. We are interested in mechanisms of toxicity underlying the environmental risk factors on the life and organism, especially in toxicity and assessment of chemical mixtures. Environmental risks of chemicals are still often assessed substance-by-substance, neglecting mixture effects. This may result in risk underestimations, as the typical exposure is toward multicomponent chemical “cocktails”. We use the two well established mixture toxicity concepts (Concentration Addition and Independent Action) for providing a tiered outline for environmental hazard and risk assessments of mixtures. | ||||
