Research Interest

Prof. Tang has been engaged in the research of toxicology for more than 20 years. His current research interests include: the study of biological effects of nanoparticlesand quantum dots and their underlying action mechanisms, high throughout screening methods for evaluating the bio-safety of nanoparticles, etc. He has taken charge of five National Nature Science Fund Projects, one 973 Project and one National Important Project on Scientific Research of China in recent five years. He has published more than 150 papers, among which more than 60 are SCI papers, and seven books in the field of toxicology. He won the third prize of National Evin Science and Technology Progress of Ministry of Health, and second prize of Preventive Medicine of Jiangsu Province. He is the director of China Institute of Toxicology, the deputy director of Nanotoxicology Professional Committee, and deputy director or standing committee member of other five national and provincial professional societies. He is also the evaluation expert of national science and technology achievement award, and national natural science fund and 863 projects. He is also reviewer for many SCI and CSCD journals.
