Dr. Zhang’s primary research area is the environmental and occupational hazards. She mainly focuses on the biomarkers and susceptible genetics on benzene exposure and the molecular mechanism of benzene induced bone marrow inhibition, especially on hematopoietic stem cells. She also pursues the interested research in genetic susceptibility studies for hearing loss among sensitive young workers. Currently, Dr. Zhang is the PI of two grants on susceptibility and toxicity of benzene from National Science Foundation of China and one grant on genetic susceptibility on hearing loss from Jiangsu Provincial Health Department. | ||||
Biographical Information | ||||
Dr. Juan Zhang is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health, Southeast University. She received a Ph.D. degree in Occupational and Environmental health from Southeast University, China. She was a visiting scholar and research fellow in Beth Israel Deaconess medical center, Harvard Medical School, between 2007 and 2009, and a visiting scholar in Indiana university in fall semester of 2015 in IUPUI in the united states. | ||||
